A hidden reggae bar in Choengmon

An intimate set-up for a surprise wedding
It's said to be rain season and Samui has rained for FOUR weeks straight.  I mean mushrooms are adorable but I wish I were not them at all because I can't live without the sun and I can't bear high humidity. I hardly use the R word but in this case I have to admit that I was so close to moving to Bangkok (or anywhere else) for good.

Suddenly, the sun came back today with perfect autumn breezes and pleasant honey sunshine for the whole day since we woke up. After happily taking care of the laundry, we went to Choengmon, (one of) our favorite spot(s) to sunbathe, have a Thai massage and test Matt's new camera as well to celebrate. This area is just as enjoyable as any other bustling beaches. There are many bars and restaurants both on the beach and on the main road, so you’ll be sure to find something for your taste.

Lately we are working on the idea of helping people arrange their elopement, which was seeded from the conversation with Chu and trying hard to bring that idea to life. This is one of the venues we pick for our first couples. Even if you are not gonna say "I do" here, keep reading because it's still worth a visit. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit, hats and suncream.
Fun is easy to buy.

All types of entertainment: Guitar, hammock, juice, salt water and winds. Massage next door, 300Baht per person. With premium coconut oil.

Sip on a cocktail or local beer on the beachfront and watch as the sun sets behind the island, casting brilliant reflections over the water.

Lock his heart and write down your name on it.

Heaven ahead.
Matt always has Kluoi pan, which is banana smoothie in Thai, me is Tang-mo pan, which is water melon shake, but they have Chang, Singha, Mojito, Sex on the Beach... (you name it), tooo

Location: Follow the main road 3km from Big Buddha toward Plai Laem to the east you will find Imperial Boat house. Take the first left turn at the corner, go straight inside for 500meters to reach Honey seafood. You can park your vehicles there and enjoy the most simplified complex of food, beverage, massage and water sports. Enjoy!!!

About the closest beach - Bangrak, where Choengmon is located: As a favorite drop-off point for those traveling by boat to full moon parties at Koh Phangan, it has long been the hangout for younger travelers. There is, however, plenty to see and do regardless of your age or budget, from wandering down the beach in the morning and watch the Big Buddha statue to the east, or going out to the bars and restaurants in the evening.. The calm waters of Bang Rak are also good for a morning swim, a great way to get started for the day. If you’re not a fan of hotel breakfasts, walk back from the beach along the main road to find small cafés and eat as the locals do.

P/S: If you are going to stay in the area, my one and only recommendation is The Nest boutique villa. Spacious, clean and safe room, chic-designed furniture, excellent service, informative hosts for less than 40$ icl. breakfast. Others may offer cheaper, lower price and unguaranteed quality but The Nest is real value :-)
